Featurecreep are passionate about standards and accessibility. We create websites that are both good looking and accessible. This not only ensures that sites are available to all, it is also best practice for search engines and should improve general usability.
This website has been designed so that it is accessible to all visitors, regardless of physical abilities or software, in the following ways:
Compliance
- This site is built using valid XHTML 1.0 Strict.
- This site uses valid CSS 2.1 for visual layout and styling.
- The site uses structured semantic markup. For example, headers are marked up using header elements, lists, including navigational choices, are marked up using list elements, table markup is only ever used for data tables and so on.
- All code is standards compliant and validates with W3C standards.
- Priority 1 checkpoints of the World Wide Web Consortium Accessibility Initiative have been followed, as well as many priority 2 and priority 3 checkpoints.
Links
- Links include title attributes which give more information about the target of the link.
- All links can be followed in any browser, even if scripting is turned off.
Images
- Images that convey important information have alternative text (ALT attributes).
- Purely decorative graphics include blank ALT attributes.
Visual design
- All text is sized using relative sizes to allow it to be resized by users of any browser (with the exception of graphical text).
- Text can be increased or decreased in size by using the "view" option in your browser.
- No information is exclusively conveyed using colour.
We are continually making improvements to meet these guidelines. Please contact us if you would like to know more about accessibility, or if you have any suggestions of ways in which we can improve the accessibility of our website.
